Who Needs NSW Licensee Training?

New Licensees from 1 September 2018 Anyone granted or applying for a new liquor licence in NSW from 1 September 2018 must complete Licensee Training as a condition of their licence.
Approved Managers and Club Secretaries Most approved managers and club secretaries in NSW are required to complete Licensee Training. Use the LG NSW check tool to confirm whether you are required.
RSA Prerequisite Required You must hold a current NSW RSA Competency Card before enrolling in NSW Licensee Training. Successful completion of Licensee Training automatically renews your RSA endorsement.
Advanced Licensee Training (ALT) Some licensees operating in higher-risk environments (venues trading after midnight, certain club categories) must also complete Advanced Licensee Training. Check the LG NSW tool to confirm if ALT applies to you.
Renews Your RSA Automatically Completing NSW Licensee Training automatically renews your current RSA endorsement on your competency card — a major benefit for working licensees and managers.
