The unit covers the following areas;
➤ Follow the principles of responsible service of alcohol.
➤ Assist customers to drink within appropriate limits.
➤ Assess alcohol affected customers and identify those to whom sale or service must be refused.
➤ Refuse to provide alcohol.
Responsible practices must be undertaken wherever alcohol is sold, served or supplied, including where alcohol samples are served during on-site product tastings.
This unit therefore applies to any workplace where alcohol is sold, served or supplied, including all types of hospitality venues, packaged liquor outlets and wineries, breweries and distilleries.
ASSESSMENT

PREQUISITE RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL (RSA) TRAINING
To be eligible for the RSA ACT Refresher unit you must already hold a RSA ACT certificate or an Interstate RSA statement of attainment.
Certificates cannot be older than 3 years.

ASSESSMENT DETAIL
ASSESSMENT STAGE 1 - KNOWLEDGE
During Stage 1 Assessment, participants engage with multiple-choice and free-text questions, enabling them to interact with course material in manageable sections.
For written response questions, individuals must independently analyse information and articulate their answers in their own words, allowing assessors to evaluate their understanding.
Once having satisfactorily completed Assessment 1 participants will receive an Official RSA ACT Certificate valid for 3 years.
COMPLETION
Upon completion of assessments, feedback, and resubmissions, your work will be evaluated within a standard timeframe of two business days.
➤ Expect up to three attempts per question, with additional guidance provided upon surpassing this limit.
➤ Feedback on free text responses and video verification will be accessible through your training account for review and adjustment before resubmission.
➤ Work is assessed solely by a JTA assessor, who may engage in a Competency Conversation if required.
➤ Successful completion results in the issuance of an official RSA ACT Certificate valid for 3 years.
