Assessment Detail

Assessment involves a variety of formats and criteria:

1. Participants must independently answer all questions in their own words.
2. Evaluation is based on a Satisfactory or Not Yet Satisfactory outcome, with feedback provided.
3. Tasks are completed to demonstrate knowledge to trainers and assessors.

Evidence gathering includes several techniques:

• Knowledge assessment involving multiple-choice and written responses.
• Live assessment conducted online — a 15-minute discussion with a trainer.

Assessment Process

• Multiple choice questions presented after each module.
• Written response questions: Apply what you have learned by answering questions in your own words.
• Live Assessment: Students must respond to trainer questions in a 15-minute session.

The assessment process ensures that you acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully complete the NSW Licensee Training.

Assessment Feedback

Job Trainer Australia assessors provide consistent feedback through email, direct conversations, and various support channels like Live Chat and website enquiries to assist your learning journey and enhance your success in the course. This feedback mechanism is designed to optimise your learning outcomes.

USE OF INTERPRETORS IS NOT PERMITTED.

Before enrolling, each student must complete an online short Pre-Enrolment Review or LLND test to assess course suitability, evaluating skills in existing knowledge, language, literacy, numeracy, and digital proficiency.

L&GNSW requires students to complete the Licensee Training assessments in English without an interpreter. This is based on the minimum LLND skills required for the prerequisite RSA and reflects the higher level of responsibility that licensees hold to ensure they possess the English language skills necessary to understand and comply with complex legislation regarding their liquor licence.

Completion

Upon successfully completing assessments, your work will be evaluated within a standard timeframe of two business days.

An interim certificate will be issued to students upon successful completion.

Students must then visit Service NSW with their Interim Certificate and Identification to update their Competency Card.

A new Competency Card will be sent to the provided address and is valid for five years.

Successful completion of this course automatically renews students’ NSW RSA for another five years.

The duration of this unit is provided to describe an amount of time that we anticipate you will reasonably need to undertake this unit.

⏱ This course will take 3 minutes to enrol and approximately 6 hours to complete (self-paced). This may vary from person to person, you may wish to take longer, the choice is yours.

• From the date and time of purchase, you have 12 weeks to complete your course.
• You can request an extension which will provide additional time to complete the training.
• Job Trainer Australia encourages you to keep actively involved with your training, we will send you SMS alerts when we detect that you haven’t engaged with your course, we are here to support you to complete your training.

Certificate Issuance Process

To receive your certificate, you must successfully complete all stages of the assessment. Once your assessment is submitted, it will enter the evaluation queue.

Please note the following:

• Assessments submitted outside of office hours will be evaluated on the next business day.
• Certificates will be issued promptly after successful evaluation.
• Same-day issuance is not guaranteed, as it largely depends on the completion and submission process on your end.

Resources Required by You

To undertake this training, it is COMPULSORY that students:

• Upload and Provide a photo ID into the online training account. This could be a driver’s licence, passport or photo ID.
• You must be able to read and write in English. If you have difficulty, we recommend you call us on 1300 020 615.
• Have a current valid RSA competency card. If you do not have a valid RSA card that is current, then you will need to complete the RSA NSW course, listed in our course menu.
• Reliable Internet Connection: A stable internet connection is crucial to undertake online training, along with access to a computer, tablet or smartphone with a camera, speakers, microphone and stable internet connection.

Can I do this course without an RSA?

You must have a valid NSW RSA card or an interstate nationally recognised statement of attainment for RSA. If you do not have a valid RSA card, you should enrol in the Job Trainer Australia NSW RSA course.

I did my RSA, but it has expired. Can I still do this course?

You must have a valid RSA Competency Card. Liquor & Gaming NSW provide a 28-day grace period for cards that have just expired.

What will the training look like?

Training will be approximately 6 hours (self-paced). You will have online modules to complete, and after each module, there will be a multiple-choice assessment. At the end of your course, you will speak to a Job Trainer Australia Trainer to discuss the course. Once you have completed the course, you will receive your interim certificate via email.

Are you accredited?

Yes! We are approved under Liquor and Gaming NSW to provide the RSA and Licensee Training courses. All our trainers are also approved, with extensive industry experience.
