What is a Unique Student Identifier (USI)?

Your Unique Student Identifier (USI) is your individual education number made up to 10 letters and numbers. You need a USI if you are doing any nationally recognised training, including if you are at university. A USI is free and creates a record of your vocational education and training (VET) achievements.
