If you are completing your RSA in Victoria in 2026, there is an important update you need to know about. From December 1, 2025, Liquor Control Victoria (LCV) introduced a mandatory new module — SHARPR — as a required component of all Victorian RSA training. This guide explains what SHARPR is, how the two-step Victorian RSA process works, and exactly what to do if something goes wrong with your LCV link.
Important: From December 1, 2025, your SITHFAB021 Statement of Attainment alone is not sufficient to work in Victorian licensed venues. You must also complete the LCV SHARPR module and receive your LCV Certificate of Completion before you can legally serve alcohol in Victoria.
What Is the SHARPR Module?
SHARPR stands for Sexual Harassment and Assault: Recognise, Prevent and Respond. It is a mandatory training module introduced by Liquor Control Victoria to equip hospitality workers with the knowledge and skills to address sexual harassment and assault in licensed venues.
What the SHARPR Module Covers
Recognise
Identify signs of sexual harassment and assault in licensed venue environments — understanding what behaviours are unacceptable and how to spot them early before situations escalate.
Prevent
Practical strategies for creating safer venues — including venue culture, staff protocols, environmental design and how to implement a gender-based violence prevention and response plan.
Respond
How to respond appropriately when incidents occur — supporting affected individuals, de-escalation techniques, reporting obligations and connecting people with appropriate support.
Who It Applies To
All hospitality workers completing a new RSA or RSA refresher course in Victoria from December 1, 2025. This applies to bartenders, waitstaff, bottle shop workers, hotel staff, event crew and all licensed venue employees.
The Victorian RSA Process in 2026 — Two Steps
Getting your Victorian RSA in 2026 involves two separate steps. Both must be completed before you can legally work in a licensed venue in Victoria.
1
Complete SITHFAB021 Online with Job Trainer Australia
Enrol in the SITHFAB021 RSA course for Victoria with Job Trainer Australia (RTO 45742). The course is 100% online, self-paced and accessible 24/7 on any device. Complete in as little as 4 to 6 hours. Upon successful completion you will receive your nationally recognised SITHFAB021 Statement of Attainment same day — guaranteed. Job Trainer Australia then sends your details to Liquor Control Victoria.
2
Complete the SHARPR Module via Liquor Control Victoria
After completing your JTA RSA course, you will receive an email invitation from Liquor Control Victoria with login credentials for their platform. Log in and complete the one-hour SHARPR module. There is no additional cost — it is provided free by the Victorian Government. Once complete, you will receive your LCV Certificate of Completion by email. This certificate, valid for 3 years, is your official Victorian RSA certification required to work in licensed venues in Victoria.
Both steps must be completed. Your JTA Statement of Attainment covers Step 1. Your LCV Certificate of Completion covers Step 2. You need both before you can legally serve alcohol in Victorian licensed venues. Job Trainer Australia provides full step-by-step guidance on the LCV SHARPR process at the point of enrolment.
Haven't Received Your LCV SHARPR Link?
Once you have completed your SITHFAB021 course with Job Trainer Australia, Liquor Control Victoria sends an email invitation with your login credentials for the SHARPR module. If you have not received this email, here is what to do:
Steps to Take if Your LCV Link Hasn't Arrived
1. Check Spam and Junk Folders
The LCV invitation email sometimes lands in spam or junk. Check these folders first before taking any further action. Search for emails from lcv@justice.vic.gov.au or any email containing "Liquor Control Victoria".
2. Wait 24 Hours
LCV typically sends the invitation within 24 hours of your RSA course completion being processed. If it has been less than 24 hours, allow a little more time before contacting LCV.
3. Contact Liquor Control Victoria Directly
Job Trainer Australia cannot resend your LCV SHARPR link — this invitation is generated and managed entirely by Liquor Control Victoria. You will need to contact LCV directly and they will resend your invitation or assist you in accessing the SHARPR platform. See LCV contact details below.
4. Contact Job Trainer Australia
If you have waited more than 48 hours and LCV has not been able to resolve the issue, contact our support team. We can assist by confirming your details were submitted correctly to LCV and help escalate if needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the SHARPR module?
SHARPR stands for Sexual Harassment and Assault: Recognise, Prevent and Respond. It is a mandatory module introduced by Liquor Control Victoria (LCV) that must be completed as part of all RSA and RSA refresher courses in Victoria from December 1, 2025. The module is delivered online through the LCV platform, takes approximately one hour and is provided at no additional cost to students.
Is the SHARPR module mandatory for all Victorian RSA students?
Yes. From December 1, 2025, all new RSA certificates and RSA refresher certificates issued for work in Victorian licensed venues must include completion of the SHARPR module through the LCV platform. Your SITHFAB021 Statement of Attainment from Job Trainer Australia alone is not sufficient to work legally in Victoria from this date — you must also complete the LCV SHARPR module.
How does the Victorian RSA process work in 2026?
There are two steps. Step 1: Complete your SITHFAB021 RSA course online with Job Trainer Australia (RTO 45742) — self-paced, 4 to 6 hours, same-day Statement of Attainment upon successful completion. Step 2: You will receive an email invitation from Liquor Control Victoria to log in to the LCV platform and complete the one-hour SHARPR module. Your LCV Certificate of Completion is valid for 3 years and is your official Victorian RSA certification.
I haven't received my LCV email invitation for the SHARPR module — what do I do?
If you have not received your LCV invitation email within 24 hours of completing your Job Trainer Australia RSA course, first check your spam or junk folder. If it is not there, you will need to contact Liquor Control Victoria directly — Job Trainer Australia cannot resend this link as the invitation is generated and managed entirely by LCV. Contact LCV by email at lcv@justice.vic.gov.au or by phone on 1300 182 457. LCV will be able to resend your invitation or assist you in accessing the SHARPR module on their platform.
Can I work in a Victorian licensed venue after completing the JTA RSA course?
Not until you have also completed the LCV SHARPR module. From December 1, 2025, both components are required — your SITHFAB021 Statement of Attainment from Job Trainer Australia AND your LCV Certificate of Completion from the SHARPR module. Job Trainer Australia provides full step-by-step guidance on the LCV SHARPR process at the point of enrolment.
How long does the SHARPR module take to complete?
The SHARPR module takes approximately one hour to complete on the LCV platform. It is accessible on mobile, tablet and desktop. There is no additional cost — it is provided free by the Victorian Government through Liquor Control Victoria. Most students complete the full two-step Victorian RSA process within one to two days.
How long is the Victorian RSA certificate valid?
Your LCV Certificate of Completion — which includes the SHARPR module — is valid for 3 years from the date of issue. This is the same validity period as Victorian RSA certification. You will need to complete an RSA refresher course and the SHARPR module again at renewal.
Does the SHARPR module apply in other Australian states?
No. The SHARPR module is a Victorian-specific requirement introduced by Liquor Control Victoria. Other states have their own RSA requirements. If you are working in Queensland, WA, SA, TAS, ACT or NT, your SITHFAB021 Statement of Attainment from Job Trainer Australia is your complete RSA certification with no additional steps required. NSW requires a separate Competency Card via Liquor and Gaming NSW.
Do existing staff need to complete SHARPR?
If your current Victorian RSA certificate is still valid — issued within the last 3 years — you do not need to complete the SHARPR module until your certificate expires and you undertake your RSA refresher. All refresher courses from December 1, 2025 include the SHARPR module. Check with your employer as some venues may choose to require all staff to complete it as part of their own workplace policy.
